Applet 1.1 : One - One / Onto Functions

    This applet helps us to see, geometrically, the properties of a function being one-one and onto. The function will be one-one if every horizontal line , intersects the graph of in exactly one point. The function will be onto if every horizontal line , , intersects the graph of at least once.

    Instructions for using the Applet.

    1. Select a function from the combo box.
    2. Select domain and co-domain from the respective combo boxes.
    3. Slide the green line on the display panel by holding and moving the slider with mouse, to check for one-one-ness and onto-ness.
    4. Take a quiz below and Check your result.
